The river view from my twin room offered a relaxing backdrop, perfect for watching boats float by. The proximity to the town center across the street makes it easy to explore local shops and restaurants, which is a plus for any spontaneous outings.
Hot water took its sweet time to kick in, which can be annoying when you're trying to wash up fast. The TV cut out, making it unusable for a bit, though that might've been weather-related. The stairs creaked loudly with each step, and you hear everyone passing by, which could disturb your peace if you're trying to relax. For a more modern touch, maybe consider swapping in smart TVs for some digital entertainment.

The location was ideal for picking up passengers from Heathrow, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was given its proximity to a busy road.
